Sri Mahantha Shivalinga Swamiji

Sri Mahantha Shivalinga Swamiji is the visionary founder of Sri Bilva Goshala and the esteemed president of Sri Thapovana Kehtra Seva Mandali Trust. With a dedicated missionary mindset, he is passionately committed to the protection and promotion (go raksha) of indigenous (desi) cows. In today’s world, where many are shifting towards Jersey cows, Sri Swamiji emphasizes the crucial importance of preserving and nurturing our native breeds, particularly the Malnad Gidda.

His unwavering mission is to educate the public about the immense value and benefits of desi cows. Sri Swamiji believes that these indigenous breeds hold the key to sustainable agriculture and ecological balance. By fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for desi cows, he aims to inspire a revival in their rearing and conservation.

Under his guidance, Sri Bilva Goshala stands as a beacon of hope and knowledge, showcasing the unparalleled significance of desi cows in our lives and their indispensable role in our heritage and future.

Sri Bilva Goshale Journey

Establishment in 2012

Sri Bilva Goshale was founded in 2012 with a vision to protect and preserve indigenous cow breeds. Our journey began in the serene Coorg forest, where we committed to creating a safe haven for these gentle creatures.

Expansion of Sanctuary

Over the years, we expanded our sanctuary to accommodate more cows. Today, we provide a home for over 110 Desi cows, bulls, and calves, ensuring they live in a natural and nurturing environment.

Implementation of Sustainable Practices

We integrated sustainable agricultural practices into our daily operations. By using cow dung and urine as natural fertilizers and pest repellents, we promote eco-friendly farming methods that benefit both the environment and our community.

Community Education and Awareness

Our mission extends beyond the Goshale as we actively engage with the community through workshops and awareness programs. We educate people about the importance of cow protection, the benefits of A2 milk, and sustainable living practices.

Development of Gomata Products

We harness the potential of cow products to create high-quality Ayurvedic items. These products not only support the health and well-being of our community but also generate funds to sustain our Goshale's operations.
